5 reasons why SCHOOL is COOL

It's been a week since school started from the Christmas break. Next for a lot of students are the midterms! Although this is, I wanna look on the bright side and write a post about the top 5 reasons why I actually miss going to school:

1. School supplies. My favorite part of school starting is supply shopping! Different kinds of pens, notebooks, folders and so much more! I could stay in a National Bookstore or Office Warehouse for hours just looking at all the stuff they have.

2. Allowance. Since I'm out of school and working, I don't get any allowance anymore and I gotta pay for my bills. Now I'm on a tight budget and I mean, who doesn't like getting allowance right?

3. Field trips. It's always fun to go somewhere with classmates whether it's educational or not.

4. Events. Something I think a lot of students get excited about are fairs, parties, proms, grad balls, etc. I think this is on a lot of peoples miss list.

5. Seeing your friends everyday. The number one thing I miss about being in school are the friends I see almost everyday. Since we're all working now, we don't have time to see each other the way we used to. :(

One more thing I want to share with you guys is my new school ID! Yes, I'm officially a student again! Hehe. :P

Spots and all

Wore this a few days to go for basic sewing and pattern making class. The topic for the day was basic skirt pattern. Oh my, oh my was it hard!!! It took my 3 hours just to do the whole thing! Went crazy with all the fractions involved in making the pattern.

This ring was given to me by my sister, Loralee. She said its our sister ring.. Whatta sister ring.. Haha!

Here's the pattern I made. Can't believe it took me 3 hours to do... Ugh.. So confusing.. Hopefully it gets easier for me real soon.

Forget me not!

Had class yesterday and for some reason I forgot so much things... Ugh! I forgot my ruler, my illustration homework, eraser, etc. So hassle! That's one thing I really have to change though.. I HAVE TO STOP FORGETTING THINGS! Its gone so bad that there are even instances when I forget in a span of seconds. For example I have a story to tell then the person I'll tell it to has to answer a text for a few seconds. The person gets back to me and asks, "what were you saying?" Then I totally forget what it was... Hehe. Sometimes it freaks me out because I feel like it's not normal. Do you guys have any problems like that as well?

I LOVE THESE SHOES! Super hate myself right now because I totally forgot what brand it is!!! Urgh. I got these a few weeks ago from the LGV Sunday Market. It was love at first sight! Been looking for these for quite awhile. Super classic! I actually want it in nude as well. If you guys know any stores or brand that sell them in nude please let me know!

Koo-koo Eyes

My eyes went koo-koo yesterday with the exercises we did during our sewing class in SOFA. I was so concentrated on following the pattern that I forget to blink. Haha! Was pretty happy about the pattern I was able to do and finish. Its funny when you see other people sewing it doesn't look hard at all, but once you're there you realize how much work and control you need to finish a piece of clothing. Claps for all the dressmakers, tailors, etc. out there!

Here's some of the patterns I finished. Still needs polishing though. This is 1/2 apart or spacing. Could you believe we have to do 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16??? Have no idea how me and my eyes will get through it.

SCHOOL is COOL

It's actually true what people say about missing school after graduating. I remember saying, "Ugh! I cannot wait to graduate and finish school!". It's been 2 years since I graduated from college. Now I just want to rewind everything and go back to those school days.

I decided I really want to go back and take a 1 year course on fashion design in The School Of Fashion And The Arts (a.k.a. SOFA). Since I have work I only enrolled for 2 subjects. One subject is Basic Pattern & Sewing and the other is Basic Illustration.

I finally get to relive those school girl days, well sorta, I think.. Haha.

Loving my SOFA pen and notebook. <3

First day of Basic Pattern & Sewing we had a pop quiz on fractions. Apparently you need to be really good in geometry or numbers in short. Good thing I still have an idea on how to do 'em.

Was really excited to take Basic Illustration because I draw like a 3 year old or even worse. I'm on a stick figure level and it's really frustrating.

Here's my first drawing and I'm actually pretty glad it looks somewhat human. Haha. Took me a lot of time and erasing to get it to look that way though.

As homework we had to draw a few more so we could get the hang of drawing a human body. Notice that the figure has got some really long legs and arms? That's my supermowdel look. LOL!

For those who are still studying, enjoy it while you still can! I know homework and exams could be a drag but the "real world" is 10x harder. Don't get me wrong. It's good to be independent and all, but being in school is just too much fun!
