Bazaar Essentials

Congratulations to my sister, Claud for organizing a great bazaar! Can't wait for Greenmeadows! Oh ya! You're all invited to the Greenmeadows Xmas Rush Bazaar on December 21-22 @ 10am-8pm! Perfect place to do your Christmas shopping! :)

Ugh... My energy level from 10 went to like a .75 after the whole bazaar. Really exhausting but fun at the same time if that makes any sense? Fun because I got to sell my items, exhausting because it took a lot of effort and talking to do so. Hehe.

My first bazaar was when I was about 11 years old. I would tag a long with Claud and she would let me sell the accessories I made for fun. From then on I started joining bazaars. It was really hard in the beginning, I would forget so much things and I couldn't decide on how to set up my booth. So for this blog post I wanted to come up with 6 bazaar essentials:

1. Cash Box. Ofcourse you need a place where you could keep all that hard earned cash. Most bazaaristas use a cash box, sling bag or a belt bag. Personally I prefer using a sling bag so that its with me at all times. I remember using a tupperware when I was younger though. Learned that its not a very good idea, especially since the tupperware I would use was transparent. Hehe.
2. Calling Card. A bazaar isn't just a place for selling, its also a great way to advertise your brand. Especially now that we have all these social media sites, we have to figure out way to bring up our fan base. I suggest you take time to make a good calling card that has your social media sites, e-mail and contact numbers. I assure you, its an investment well spent.
3. Pen & Notebook. Both items are and will be your bestfriends when you're out and about doing business. They are ever so trusty and useful to get the the job done. I use these items mainly to keep track of whats being sold and how much, reminders, to do's, checklist and its where I put the contact details of my buyers. It comes out as a buyer database, which is really good to have for future advertising.
4. Change. I use to have a bad habit of going to my neighbor or the booth beside me for change. It's alright to do sometimes, but not a lot. So always have a good amount of change on you.
5. Paper Bag. Let's be environmental and use paper or eco bags. For some reason this is the one item I forget to bring. Hehe. Having no paper or eco bag is a big turn off to buyers. Make sure you always have them and extra points go out to having a nice design and those that are easy to carry around.
6. Table Clothe. Here's another item I tend to forget. This is actually really important because you don't wanna display your items on a bare table. It wont look attractive at all, thus buyers will end up not noticing your booth and will just walk pass you. Personally when I see a lighted up and nice looking booth, that's the one I go to and keep my eyes on.

There you go! Hope it helped! :)

For the kids there was a Santa Party! We gave out loot bags and conducted lots of fun games for them! Best part was Sabta came with lots f goodies for the kids. Be sure to register your child for the Greenmeadowd bazaar! Super fun!
