Last post about my family trip last December! Hehe..
Special thanks to Jon for taking my pics! :P
We went to the historic Villavicencio house in Taal. Really cool to know about the history of the house. This house apparently played a huge role in the Philippines Revolution.
This is Gliceria Marella De Villavicencio, The Godmother of the Philippines Revolution. Doesn't sound familiar? I know.. During the tour it was said that she wasn't mentioned as much or at all, which is very sad because she was the one who help aid and finance the Katipunan. She was the one who gave the biggest contribution to the Philippines Revolution, the 1st marine battalion. Cool huh? This house was also a place where they had secret meetings.
With the tour comes food!!! Hehe... They had the best suman I've tasted and some super good bread! :)
Here we start the tour. The house is beautiful yet kind of freaky to me, in a good way though if that makes sense? Hehe..
Was kind of freaking out to look at some of the pictures, thinking a person would appear or something.. LOL. :P
This was their escape door for all those secret meetings.
After the Villavicencio house we visited the Basilica of San De Martin. What a pretty and grand basilica it is! Its the biggest church in South East Asia. Could you believe? Haha. No offense to our country, but I didn't think we had the biggest church.
The inside reminds me of those churches I see in Europe. So nice!!!
